Ferrari Testarossa — the V12 rebuilt

A red Testarossa that reached the workshop with a failed engine. Its flat-twelve was removed, fully dismantled, refurbished part by part, then reassembled and refitted. Through to the road test.

Step by step.

  1. 01

    Arrival.

    The Testarossa reaches the workshop with a failed engine. Here: on arrival, then completed.

  2. 02

    Engine removal.

    The flat-twelve comes out of the car. The empty engine bay shows itself as it is.

  3. 03

    Strip-down, back to bare.

    Timing, cylinder heads, injection: the engine is taken down to the block, stripped bare on its stands.

  4. 04

    The parts.

    Every part is removed, cleaned, checked and sorted. What needs it is refurbished, such as the intake manifold.

  5. 05

    Reassembly.

    Cylinder heads, injection, manifolds: the flat-twelve takes shape again.

  6. 06

    Refitting.

    The finished engine returns to its bay, cleaned and ready. Then come the last steps, on the lift.

    The road test.
