Clients in Austria

Vienna, Salzburg, Innsbruck or Graz. From the Alps to the Mediterranean, without a single customs post.

01

Within the Union.

Austria and France both belong to the European Union: the car travels freely, with no customs formalities. It carries its registration certificate and keeps its Austrian plates. From Vienna as from the Vorarlberg, nothing to declare.

02

Shipping your car.

From the Tyrol as from Vienna, transport is arranged on request, there and back. The terms are set out in writing before each departure.

03

Gmünd, in Carinthia.

The Porsche story runs through Austria: the first 356s were built in Gmünd, in Carinthia.

Classic Porsche cars have their place in the workshop. A 1967 911 S Targa « soft-window », a barn find, was restored here: bodyshell blasted, new front wings, ivory paint, two-litre engine rebuilt.

04

The mountain passes.

Alpine roads ask a great deal of brakes, clutch and cooling. Before the season, a careful service of brakes and running gear prepares the car.

After a long winter in the garage, a car that has stood still also needs patient recommissioning: fluids, battery, tyres, callipers.

For those who picture a 911 in a period spirit, a bespoke build, restomod or backdate, is designed with you, at the workshop.

05

From afar.

The quote starts from your photographs and videos, then is confirmed once the car has been inspected at the workshop. Conversations are in English or French, directly with the owner of the workshop.

Photographs of every stage reach you as the work progresses. Modern Mercedes-Benz, Ferrari or Porsche are followed in the same way. And if the car is to spend the summer on the Riviera, storage at the workshop spares it a second journey.

06

The car’s history.

Old invoices, a service book, period photographs: every document on the car’s past helps prepare the quote. It also steers the restoration towards the original, colour by colour, part by part.

Include them with your first message, even if incomplete. The workshop’s detailed invoice will, in turn, add to that file.

Your questions

Does the car keep its Austrian plates?

Yes. Work carried out in France changes nothing in the registration, and no customs formalities are needed.

Can you service the car before the season in the passes?

Yes. Brakes, clutch, cooling, running gear: servicing and seasonal preparation are part of the workshop’s services, on quotation.

Do you build restomod or backdate 911s?

Yes. A bespoke 911, restomod or backdate, is defined with you, then quoted.

Do you take classic Mercedes-Benz?

Yes. A 280 SL Pagoda and a 220 SEb Cabriolet have been restored at the workshop, from the bare bodyshell to the leather upholstery.
